Adventurers to consider challenging the climbs and valleys of Lesotho for your next cycling adventure either as part of an organised cycle race or as a cycle tourist.

1. Lesotho Cycling is affiliated to UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) as a member national federation.

2. Lesotho boasts some of the highest and steepest cycle roads in Southern Africa, which is an ideal way for cyclists to challenge their potential..

3. Lesotho is easy to access for South African cyclists for cycle races or training.

4. Race organisers may have access to UCI registration for cycle races on the UCI Africa Tour at significantly lower costs. The UCI Africa Tour opens the door for international cyclists and teams to compete in cycling races in Africa.

5. The weather in Lesotho is ideal for cycling. In summer temperatures rarely top 30 deg C. In winter cycling in the cold may be a challenge to SA visitors but visitors from Europe/ N. America will be comfortable to cycle.

6. Lesotho is potentially a great venue for off-season training for cycling visitors.
